It’s finally here guys. After a good summer that may or may not have gone by to quick it is finally the end of the season. Unlike snowboarding and other sports wakeboarding never really has a true off season. Thats because in Florida you can ride all year and because wakeboarding is awesome. This is the time of the year that I am pretty sure is every pro riders favorite. Some riders favorite may be spring but this is mine. It is my favorite for many reasons. The first is that we get a break from flying every week and the second is that we get to come home and do what we love the most. Wakeboard and lots of it. The water is still warm and the sun is still shining. And it’s always glassy. This is the time of the year that I always see the most progression in my riding. So let’s hope it stays the same this year. And besides when I used to live in Michigan this would be when I had to put my board away for the year. So screw that. I want more wakeboarding not less.

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008this week all the Cwb guys are down in the Whaven at Zanes’ house Just getting some good footage and doing some funny stuff. Yesterday I got out of class got to zanes house and Grassman, cobra, will, jimmy and Trevor were all on zanes paddleboard getting towed by his sea doo and then they all made a human rail and stu hit it on his skate. Stu is a really really good wakeskater. It’s about that time for me to head to class. Look for this week on cwbtv it will be a good episode.

Monday, September 15th, 2008what’s up wakeboard world. It has been a crazy year from crow 7s to 1260s toe back 7s off the wake. Just an insane year. The contest run this year was sweet. Made it top ten for king of wake and landed a couple of wake heel nines in contest. Had two stellar finishes this season took 5th in Texas and 7th at worlds. I’m now back at school for the off season and what an off season this will be. Andrew just moved down to Polk county and Jd just got a house next to him. We are all pumped to be riding together. Congrats to insane Zane on is lengendary status and the 20 page feature in the standard. Zane is the man, I had a lot of fun shredn with him this summer.

Bella
Friday, September 12th, 2008So I named my new puppy after the best little girl’s wakeboard on the market…Bella! The name also means beautiful in Italian. It looks like I’m going to be able to have a CWB doggie life jacket for her next summer too!
My home lake (Lake Oroville) got lower than I’ve ever seen it, and it’s a deep resesevoir. Although we didn’t get to hike waterfalls and wakeboard out of caves like last year, we made the most out of the low water by bungee jumping off the bridge! My first two jumps last year were more about accomplishing a conquest and more fear than adrenaline; kinda like when I see a rail that I want to hit which doesn’t look that fun but I would never forgive myself if I didn’t try it. This time was different though because it was a full moon and you could see everything while diving off the 240 foot high bridge. I went with the same people who jump with Byerly, Grubb and Nelson.
Some other summer highlights include having rode pretty well in the Reno pro tour stop, winched/jibbed a natural log in a creek, rode in the Spanky Beavers Rail Jam in an Olympic style swimming pool, went camping/riding at a lake near the ocean and then winched the ocean, rode a few local contests, helped try to construct a backyard rail pool, and tried new tricks (succeeded with some). Shawna has been killing it lately. She was the first of the two of us to ever do a spin, and now she’s hitting all kinds of spins consistently. (grabbed, front and backside, and getting really close on some tricks I don’t think girls have done yet) She did pretty well in Worlds too, for the gnarly rollers. Shawna and I also have an interview on http://www.superhumanmag.com/content/view/658/92/
I started fishing, skeet shooting and am about to start hunting again. I haven’t done any of those activities since I was twelve, but now that I’m having to buy all my own food I figured why not earn some of it in a less expensive way? Last night my friends and I performed at an amateur music showoff in downtown chico. I played the easiest acoustic part and only messed up once! My friends are amazingly talented though!
Lana, the winner of the Diamonds are forever contest is coming from Minnesota to our house soon. Can’t wait to show her what Norcal is all about! Well I hope you all are having a great summer!

Baton Rouge
Friday, September 12th, 2008So last week after I left Oklahoma where the WWA World Championships were held, I flew to New Orleans to hang out with the guys from Rukus board shop in Baton Rouge. We were gonna spend the week riding the rivers that are always butter but unfortunately Hurricane Gustav had just passed through just days before leaving all the rivers and lakes flooded. So we couldnt wakeboard behind the boat. Luckily Chip Smith, the owner of Rukus has build these two rail ponds that can be pulled by a 4 wheeler. The first pond has a homemade pool that goes into a long slant rail and an a-frame. Then the second lake has three rails, a long incline flat bar, a relentless rail, and up to gap flat bar. All the rails were really sick and were so much fun to hit. Gabe Lucas and his boys stopped in as well and we sessioned the rails for three days getting some really good photos from our good friend Bok. All in all it was a good trip and we got to meet some really cool new friends and now we are back in Orlando getting ready for surf Expo this weekend. Should be filled with fun and fun parties

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008Hey guys. Just got back from TN. It was sick. We got to shred glassy water everyday of the week then go to one of the biggest rail jams I have ever been to. We are talking hundreds of thousands of people all around. Then close the night out with one of the best firework sessions in the world. Pretty sick. Its called Boomsday and I guess they do it every year. Its pretty sick to see thousands of people in one place stoked on wakeboarding. Now we all have something in common. And we partied and had a good time with beautiful women!
