Coldest Winter

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Not the new Kanye song. So don’t get your hopes up. I am talking about what looks like it may be a cold winter. We had a cold front here in Florida these past couple days and it has been chilly. This is probably the earliest I have ever had to bust out the old fullsuit. This may have been since I just got an awesome new fullsuit from Jetpilot. It blue and I love it. So comfortable and flexible. The past two days have been mid 60’s and it’s hard to get excited to go ride. Although as soon as I get my boots on I am psyched again. Even though it’s cold it’s really fun. I hope it doesn’t get to cold though. It already hurts the hands to hold onto the handle. I guess living in Florida has made me a softy. Keep it real everyone. Not too real though. Im outty.

Scuba

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Just learned how to Scuba dive. Sooo sick. Was way cooler than I ever thought it’d be. Going to go spear-fishing in a couple weeks and can’t wait. Attached two pics of us diving out at West Palm beach. The day we picked was gnarly. . . 6 foot swells, thunder and lighting, and pouring rain. I felt like i was in a movie, maybe the Perfect Storm. But, that made it way cooler. Anyone thinking bout learning, definitely should.. .and if you do let me know because i’d always be down to go.

Fall

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Its that time of year again when the mornings get brisk, the leaves change colors and wetsuits are brought out of storage, yup its fall. For most that means the end of their wake season, but for Floridians it means the time of year to try new tricks and progress. For me, it means I have to start seriously planing my Halloween costume, and I feel like this year could be the toughest yet. While the vast over population of the United States may mean many different things, to me it means more people are taking more halloween costumes away from me. Add that stress onto the fact that schools started up, and fall gets intense. School’s been crazy, and if i plan on keeping in line with my 9 year plan, i gotta buckle down and make sure i pass my one class per semester. On top of that, we’ve been wakeboarding like mad men. Now that the season’s over, its time to cram photo shoots and video shoots in before it gets to cold. Last week Spencer Norris stayed at my house to film for his new vid, and I must say we did work! I landed the first new tricks i’ve had in a long time, a switch heel 7, back 7, and Indy Front Flip to blind. It was definitely a fun week. But the fun didn’t stop there. Friday night was Chad Sharpe’s b day party downtown, so a couple friends and i meet up with them, and had more than our fair share of adult beverages. Needless to say, i decided to stay in on saturday night to get ready for my trip to Texas on Monday. I”m going there for a week to ride, and go to the Angels and Airwaves concert. Also, while down there, going to plan our trip to Mexico in January. Will fill everyone in more when it comes about. As for now, i have a fridge full of food thats going to go bad, so i’ve put aside this whole day to eat. It may sound like fun to some, but after the 6th meal in a row and the 5th scrambled egg, it definitely becomes a challenge. I do respect professional hot dog eaters.

Hello, well, today which is Oct. 17th, I am driving to Destin, Florida with a couple of friends to attend Andrews wedding. Him and Iris Walker are tieing the knot tomorrow. It should be a pretty fun party considering the people that are going. Im so proud of Andrew, I lived with him for quite a few years and we have had a lot of good times together. (I feel like im writing his obituary, well i kind of am.) Anyhow, it should be a good wedding and I like his soon to be wife Iris, shes a sweet heart and I wish them the best of luck.
Moving on, The last month at home has been awesome, I have been riding my little heart out and have been doing a lot of shooting with different photographers. Its sure is nice to sleep in my bed as well. What else, ummm, I am working on a new trick that has never been landed before, so Ill have to keep you updated on how that goes, hopefully Ill land it soon and get it on video. Oh yea, next week, I am attending Rustys wedding as well, so, that should be fun, (whats going on here, I feel like im losing all my friends) And then Im losing another one in November, that would be Trevor.
Alright, well Im gonna keep living up the single life and probably turn out like Ben Stiller on the Heartbreak Kid.

barney

Friday, October 10th, 2008

i just got back my old purple boat named barney. ohh how i have missed her. i have had this boat since 1999. pretty much learned behind her. best boat ever. solid as a rock. hate to see her in pain. but a shorted wire fried the starter and the ignition module one day. so the mission began. well i got a free starter from a good friend. that was a score. then some friends of mine rewired it no problem. another score. and usually the igition module is not really a big deal unless you have the corvette LT1. and you know barney is packin that LT1, that is why barney is such a hoss. but this was the big hit. the ignition module for the LT1 is a VERY specialty item. you can only get it from the indmar factory and it costs $1,000. so considering most ignition modules on cars cost about $150, this is a huge party foul. well to make along story short. i called a good friend at texas mastercraft. they got me the part at cost which was about half. huge score. well worth making a phone call. so the moral of the story is, do a little research, and its not what you know its who you know. people helping people is a beautiful thing. i am fortunate to have friends like i do. thanks
