I spent 3 hours doing laps at TSR today after flying. This place never let’s me down. This is probably my 10th+ trip to TSR and I’m still just as excited as my 1st. I came to be a part of Cablestock and have a weekend full of water time. I’ll keep you posted on what’s going on but right now at 9:30 pm I’m heading to surf the river with Gabe Lucas and friends on the natural standing wave. This area has such a good vibe.

Friday, May 8th, 2009Wakegames 09 kicking off and had an awesome photo sesh this morning.
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009Started off the day with a succesful shoot with Bill Doster from WBM. Matt Hickman, Craig Katilnick, and Scott Stewart were all part of making it happen as well. Perfect morning for it and D-Dub was kind enough to share the lake with us since he was shooting as well. Great morning, good time and we did what we set out to do.
After the shoot I rode with Scott Stewart to wakegames and watched the qualifer. Wow, there was some good riding going on today. I’m prequalified thanks to a 5th place overall king of wake finish for 08. It gave me a unique chance to just be a spectator at a pro event without the pressure of worring about my own ride. I really enjoyed watching everyone. Most all of the CWB team qualified In as well.
Overall a good day and now were headed back to Auburndale to freeride.
Philippines trip teaser photo
Monday, April 20th, 2009The Phillipines rule jet lag doesn’t
Wednesday, April 1st, 2009I arrived back home mid day yesterday from the kick off of the 09 WWA World Series which brought me to CWC in the Phillipines for 10 days. The trip, tournament ,and sight were amazing. However it’s now 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning and I am wide awake. This jet lag is going to take a few days to shake.
Later on in the day today I’ll be posting my full update of the amazing trip. For now I’ll leave you with an early morning picture from CWC and I’m going to make an attempt at getting back to sleep.
Let the travels begin
Friday, March 20th, 2009Let the travels begin. Well I guess today officially kicks off the 09 season for me. I’m headed to CWC in the Phillipines for the 1st stop of the WWA World Series. It will be 36 hours before I arrive at wakeboarding heaven. Once there I will be keeping you updated with photos and words throughout the 10 day trip. I will be free riding, competing, and watching riders from over 30 different countries and bringing it to you right here on the blog. I will also have more photos posted on my website andrewadkison.com.
For now all I have is a quick pic from the Orlando airport. Don’t worry they’re going to get much more exciting as the trip goes on. Stay posted, Andrew
OWC shred sesh
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009Myself Nick and a few others hit OWC today for a few hours of riding. I’m leaving for the Phillipines on Friday so I’m just craming in a ton of riding. We’ll be on the boat tomorrow so keep an eye out for some new photos in the afternoon.
Oh and be ready for a blogathon from the Phillipines!!!
Later, Andrew
Great day on the H2O
Thursday, March 12th, 2009Big crew shredding the home waters of lake Ariana today. My CWB brethren
Bryan Hutton, and Nick Nick Jones came out for a set. Also about 5 other friends came out riding with us today. So basically we had a full boat day. I got my first sunburn of the season so that’s exciting, kinda. The only thing that could have made it a better day of shredding would be if Corey Bradley, Derek Gras, and T Hansen came out to slaysh as well. So guys if your reading this, come out for a ride before we leave for the Philipines!!! Later, Andrew
Awesome time today
Tuesday, March 10th, 2009So I hit the water this morning at 7:45 to shoot with WBM. Matt Hickman and Bill Doster made it happen for an awesome morning on Clear Lake.
It was the first morning this year that it was fully comfortable to ride without any sort of wetsuit. To top that off we had the entire lake to ourselves. I’ve attached a picture of the morning mission crew. However it was shot from my iPhone while gearing up so it’s not my best work but should give an idea of the morning.
I’m at the projects now and will keep you updated on how todays system 2 session goes. Andrew
New boat old friends
Monday, March 9th, 2009 Derek and Nick made it out for a set on the new boat today. Unfortunately I didn’t get any riding shots for ya. Just one of them smiling real cheesy. I feel like you can tell from their expression how we all felt about todays session.
It was a super nice day for riding. Probably the best of the year this far. It was 80 and the lakes were glass all day.
I’m shooting for wakeboarding mag tomorrow morning and headed off to the projects after that to ride the system 2.0. I’ll keep you updated, Andrew
New boat!!
Monday, March 9th, 2009Home town riding
Sunday, February 8th, 2009Well, I may not have been able to make it on the Aus trip this time around, but was able to get a few sets in my hometown. It was a nice reminder as to how fortunate I was to grow up in Panama city, FL.
I get asked on a very regular basis where my favorite place to ride is and it has to be PC, florida. Our lakes here are like no other I’ve been to. Most people have seen or been to Panama City Beach and are familiar with the white silicon sand and the crystal clear water, but few are aware of the lakes in Panama City that look exactly the same. The lakes are so clean and clear you feel more like you’re in a swimming pool than a lake. There are 30+ of these clear lakes in northern bay county and southern washington county but Lucas Lake, White Western, and Lake Merial are a few of my favorites. I’ll dig through my photo archives when I get back to Auburndale to give you a few more pics of my favorite place to ride. Here is one in the mean time of Jimmy Trask riding on Lucas Lake a few months ago.
Just Trev and Corey on the Aus trip
Sunday, January 25th, 2009Due to a family emergency I won’t be able to make it to Australia this trip. However Trev and Corey are there so keep an eye out for their blogs.-Andrew
Aussie Pro Tour blogganza
Friday, January 16th, 2009It recently came together that myself, Trevor Hansen, and Corey Bradley will be heading to Australia for the Aussie Pro Tour in late January and early February. Trev and I will be there for 18 days starting January 21st and Corey will pretty much be there the entire winter. I’m pretty psyched on this trip!!! Competing in the Aussie Pro Tour is just the start of it. We’re making tons of time to free ride some incredible spots, do some tow ins on the gold coast with Jeff Weatherall at snappers, and we’re going to be stopping in to many of the CWB dealers along the way.
I’m planning on documenting the entire trip right here at ridecwb.com/blog and on my personal website andrewadkison.com with daily blogs and photos. You’ll get to see all the stuff that usually falls through the cracks on these trips. I’ll get the entire schedule for the trip up soon. Big thanks to Justin Abbott, Kris Bowers and everyone else involved for making this trip happen.
If you’ve made it this far in this blog the next part is for you. I decided recently that coming into 09 I’m going to keep my website updated through all of my travels. There were so many great experiences in the last few seasons where myself and a few friends ended up in truly unique places to ride. Beyond the usual press release and photo of the podium so much more happens on these trips.
It is on a very regular basis that I am amazed with the places and the events that I’m fortunate enough to see through wakeboarding. And I hope you will be too. From some of the most scenic places that could possibly be ridden to staying in a haunted hostel( that’s a crazy story). I’m going to keep you posted. Wait, that sounded about like a tag line for this blog. You know like a, “stay classy San Diego”. I can do better than, “Keeping you Posted”
I’ve also been shooting photos of my travels for the past 4 years and plan on having photos to go along with a majority of the blogs and as well.
much to come, Andrew

Getting my blog on
Friday, June 6th, 2008 Well i first will address the fact that I was only trying to do Zane a favor by watching a movie this evening. I knew he was debating on weather or not to take two hours of his tightly packed schedule to watch Zohan sometime this week. I was gracious enough to take two hours of my time to decide if it was worth his time or not. In the end it was and now Zane can go to Zohan without wondering if he should be addressing some urgent emails instead. You’re welcome. Glad I could help. Also I swung the sledge hammer more than a few times today putting in tent spikes.
Also weakest link in the blog? I believe I had the first blog. No big deal. Besides that it’s quality not quanity. You should look into that…
Moving on:
Since my first blog I have been doing quite a bit.
The season is full on now. I’ve been traveling on the weekends and trying to catch up and get riding time during the week.
We did an road trip to Texas in the beginning of May. It was awesome. We made a few stops along the way. One in Panama city and another 3 day stop in Hammond, LA with my friend Chip Smith. You can check the details below on derek’s blog or in the new WBM. I will have a small snapshot of the trip in a “My Scene” article on Chip Smith and the rest of the Rukus boardshop crew. They were gracious host. We finished up that trip with a fun as usual cable stock at TSR. It was an awesome time.
The next weekend was the Royer Rumble in Norther Cali. It was quite an event. Mike Royer and his crew really did a top notch job of putting on an event for both the riders and the spectators.
After that was Acworth, Master, Ft. Worth tour stop and this weekend in Minnessota for the MCPWT. I would give you more details but it’s almost 1 a.m. and I have to compete tomorrow. I have an event every weekend until October I’ll keep you posted along the way.
This blog was a bit of a catch up to speed but the next to come will have more details.
ride on, andrew
