The Orlando Watersports Complex was lined with fans anxious to watch all the divisions compete for the Wakeboard World Championship title.
The Pro Men's division turned out to be quite the exciting finale with Trevor Hansen, Danny Harf, the Soven Brothers and Dean Smith all competing in the semi finals.
Our own, Trevor Hansen took the podium in 3rd place with a very impressive run scoring a 66.67!
"I am on cloud 9 right now. Had an awesome weekend at the Worlds. Rode the best I have ridden all year and ended up in 3rd. So pumped," Trevor said via Twitter.
Also, CWB's Stu Shinn ripped it up in the Wakeskate division rounding out the podium with a 3rd place finish scoring a 71.67.
We would definitely like to congratulate both, Trevor and Stu on their solid riding!

August 23rd, 2010 is not only the National Sponge Cake Day (seriously… Google that), it was also the day of the sixth annual Feet on Fire extravaganza. Those not familiar with Feet on Fire, it is a barefoot tournament for professional non-barefooters. The top 30 wakeboarders compete in a head to head format to see who will be crowned the Feet on FIre Champion. Our own Zane "really small feet…" Schwenk has competed for the past few years and came out on top in 2008.
This year, Andrew "What is barefooting?" Adkison also joined the festivities. Andrew had been training hard for the event by never barefooting before.
Well wouldn't you know it, Zane took the 2010 crown in flamboyant style. Not only did he beat out last years champion Shawn Watson, but also Bob Soven's mom and some teenage girl who was passing by and decided to try to barefoot.
Zane is a true champion.
Huge thanks to Dano the Mano for making it happen.

Up in Northern Minnesota, CWB's wakeskater, Mike Roeder goes for an early season shred sesh.
When this video was filmed, the only sane people on the water were fisherman. Mike braved the frigid temps and put on a full suit and tore it up. Check out his vid!
What happens when you get some of California’s best riders together for a weekend of hard riding and harder partying, then put $3000 on the line? Spring Ride 2010, that’s what! Trevor Hansen landed two double back rolls to make the finals but unfortunately missed his third attempt. Don't worry Trevor has already redeemed himself at the PWT.
Everyone go cheer on CWB sponsored rider Billy Tonis at the 2010 Extremity Games this weekend!

Every month this summer we are giving away a complete pro set-up from each of our team riders! May's winner was Tyler VanLiere of South Dakota! Go to www.ridecwb.com to sign up!
Here is his winning entry:
I am 22 yrs old and have been wakeboarding for about 10 years and have always rode CWB. I love the style and performance that is guaranteed from CWB. I just wish I could ride like Andrew! I currently ride a 2007 Faze board and would like an upgrade as I am now attempting more difficult tricks. I am a college student- have been to Iraq twice with the Air National Guard- and am a youth hockey coach. I love wakeboarding and spending as much time at the lake as possible in the summer!
Here is Andrew's response:
Tyler, I wanted to email you to let you know you won my set up. I actually had to pick the winners from about the top 20 submissions. Here is my response to CWB when they asked me to pick the winner. Wow this is tough. I would say Tyler VanLiere because of his dedication to our brand and more importantly to our Country. Freedom isn't free but his wakeboard should be. I hope you enjoy the ride. In fact let me know what you think after you get a chance to ride it some. I'm always looking for input. Get with Matt who should have an email in your inbox to get your goods. – Andrew

It’s not every day you get to one up Hugh Hefner, but WAKEBOARDING managed to do just that in the case of Amber Brietzke, winner of WAKEBOARDING and CWB's April Chicks Contest. That’s right, Hef, Amber was a WAKEBOARDING Chick before she was a Playboy Playmate — if only for a few days. A week after the wake-loving 21-year-old from Austin, Texas, won our contest, she shot a photo feature that will run in Playboy this summer. We talked to Amber about how she got into wakeboarding, what she looks for in a guy and how she scored that photo shoot with Playboy.
How long have you been wakeboarding and how did you get into it? Five years. I got into wakeboarding from some buddies who ride and they taught me.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a wakeboard? A scarecrow.
Describe your perfect day. My perfect day would include going out on the boat and shredding all day. I love water and love sports so going on the boat is always a perfect day. Also I love getting a good tan!
What’s your favorite place to ride? i enjoy riding on my favorite lake,
Lake Travis.
What boat do you ride behind? A MasterCraft X-Star
You live close to Texas Ski Ranch. Ever ride the cable? I ride the cable a couple hours every week. Love it!
What do you do for a living? I’m a professional model and student at Texas State University.
How long have you been modeling and what are some of the bigger things you’ve done? I have been modeling since I was five. I have been in Seventeen magazine and on Friday Night Lights. I also did a photo shoot with Playboy earlier this month.
Wow, congrats. How did that come about? One of my friends is a Playmate and her Playboy photographer asked her about me. We talked and scheduled a shoot and I got picked after shooting. It’s great to have connections in the industry. It is all about luck overall.
Ever do any wakeboarding-related modeling? I did a shoot for [Austin Nautique Boats dealer] Sail and Ski, but it was a long time ago. I would love to do another one. I love wakeboarding and modeling.
Who’s your favorite rider? Adam Errington, because he is perfect at every trick that he does. He is never afraid to try new things and is always doing something rad. He is also a sweetheart and a great person! Cutie!
